Services: Air Duct Cleaning Air Ducts Process Air duct cleaning begins with a general inspection of the location of system registers, returns, traps, and furnaces. All vents (registers and returns) are removed and cleaned using industrial degreaser. The furnace is then disassembled, and the blower motor is cleaned in the same way. Once these components are removed, the system is placed under (See Negative Air pressure. In this instance, a high-powered HEPA filtered vacuum is connected directly to the HVAC system, which draws all debris to the lowest point of the system and, then, into the vacuum. Agitators are forced through the system, undoing years of buildup. All loosened debris is systematically moved through the system and toward the vacuum. The final stage of cleaning happens in the return and supply trunks. All debris is flushed into the vacuum using forced air. This is a true HVAC system cleaning. For commercial cleaning, providing the ducts are large enough, professional cleaners will actually "walk" (more of a crawling squat) the ducts, wiping them of filth with industrial solvents. If applicable, this will provide the most thorough cleaning possible. Your system will benefit in the following ways. First, there is no remaining dust or debris in a system that is fully accessible (on occasion, some ductwork is unreachable without prior demolition). Second, not only are the ducts clean, but also the furnace is clean. There is no residual dust waiting to be reintroduced into the system. Consequently, your furnace will also last longer. Third, your heating and cooling system will achieve greater efficiency as a result of a true cleanliness. Back to Main Services Page
